Damn. I met Graham last century. There was no bullshit. When I interviewed him I realized that people could actually be honest in interviews. Like, ‘you may not like this but it is what happened so live with it’. Damn. He could have been apart of ‘The Doors’ rejuvenated except he got distracted by ‘stuff’. Shit happens. He is such an important part of NZ music. Damn. He always had such a readable face and seemed to have time for anyone. I ended up interviewing him heaps and he was always a real pleasure, because of the ‘no bullshit, no filter’ thing. Damn. I am really sad.
Had some great chats to him about how relationships are bloody hard, why AA was stink ass, the nature of celebrity in a small country, (had zero worth) and his eyes would cut through you. And he had very warm hugs.
